Drive to Old Goa for a visit to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is the most famous and popular church in Goa. The mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, kept in a silver casket, are enshrined here. Also visit Se Cathedral, the most imposing of all churches at Old Goa. Its vaulted interior overwhelms the visitors by sheer grandeur. This Cathedral has 05 bells of which one is the famous Golden Bell.

Proceed to Shree Hanuman temple at Mala Panjim, one of the most beautiful temples in Panjim. It is said that the idol of hanuman in the main temple can be seen even from the main road, through an opening in the basement wall of the temple. Lord Hanuman is the god of strength and adventure and is worshipped in various parts of Goa for strength and courage. Among the zoomorphic deities, Shri Hanuman is the ape god and widely popular since the age of the epic Ramayana. On the banner of the Goa Kadamba, Hanuman was depicted and the worship of Hanuman is prevalent in Goa since the pre -Portuguese era.

Walk around in the Fontainhas area, is styled as ‘The Latin Quarters of the city, the Mala area is the Hindu area' with some beautiful houses with the traditional pre-Portuguese courtyards called locally as angans or rajangans which are absent in the Fontainhas Latin Style homes. The entire precinct which was declared as a conservation zone of the city in 1974 is a symbol of perfect communal harmony where east meets west in eternal bliss. Witness the Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church, right in the center of the Panjim city is one of the oldest churches in Goa, which existed from the year 1540.
